Mott MacDonald’s Suzanne Mathieson appointed to Liverpool-Manchester Railway Partnership Board

Mott MacDonald, a leading global professional services firm, is proud to announce that Suzanne Mathieson, Rail Director, has been appointed to the Liverpool-Manchester Railway Partnership Board (LMRPB).

The LMRPB, established in May 2024, aims to strengthen connectivity between the Liverpool City Region and Greater Manchester. The board will work to develop a strong business case for critical rail infrastructure projects and ensure the needs of local communities and businesses are met.

Suzanne Mathieson, with her extensive experience in the rail industry, will bring valuable expertise to the board. Her previous role at Network Rail and her current position at Mott MacDonald have equipped her with a deep understanding of the complexities of rail infrastructure projects.

Commenting on her appointment, Suzanne said: “As a longstanding advocate for better transport outcomes in the north of England and working for an employer with strong roots in the area, I am thrilled to join the board and use my expertise to make a difference. I am looking forward to working with the experienced members on the board to ensure the best interests of the railway, and transport locally, is realised to support future growth and future generations.”

The LMRPB comprises key stakeholders, including local authorities, transport operators, and businesses. By working together, the board aims to unlock the full potential of the Liverpool-Manchester corridor and drive economic growth.
