Network Rail Prepares Suppliers for Upcoming Procurement Act Implementation

Network Rail has written to suppliers to support a smooth transition for its suppliers as the Procurement Act 2023 comes into effect on February 24, 2025. With 40 days remaining, the organisation is actively supporting its supply chain in understanding the new regulations.

Key resources for suppliers are listed below:

  • Cabinet Office Webinars: Network Rail encourages suppliers to attend informative webinars hosted by the Cabinet Office. These sessions will provide an overview of the key changes introduced by the Act and demonstrate the functionality of the central digital platform. Live Q&A sessions will also be available for clarification.
  • Registration links can be found within the body of this announcement.
  • Government Supplier Information Page: A dedicated webpage on GOV.UK provides comprehensive information about the Procurement Act. Network Rail recommends suppliers to regularly revisit this page for the latest updates, including “how-to” videos, as the go-live date approaches.
  • Network Rail Procurement Act Webpage: Network Rail also maintains a webpage with relevant information for its suppliers regarding the Act’s implementation.
