Department for Transport to Host Supplier Event for SMEs in Plymouth

The Department for Transport (DfT) is hosting a supplier event for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) on 24th September 2025 at the Crowne Plaza Plymouth.

The event, which is the 22nd of its kind, aims to provide SMEs and VCSEs with the opportunity to network with senior representatives from across the DfT and its key partners. The event will run from 10:00 to 14:00.

The agenda includes:

  • A keynote speech from Paul Rodgers, DfT Group Commercial Director and Government Commercial Function Leadership Group SME sponsor.
  • Networking opportunities with representatives from HS2 Ltd, National Highways, and Network Rail. This is intended to increase the transparency of pipeline information and innovation opportunities.
  • Presentations from key suppliers on best practice for becoming a sub-contractor in the supply chain.
  • Information from the Crown Commercial Service on available SME-friendly frameworks and how to enrol.
