RSSB expands affiliate network with three new UK rail organisations

The Rail Safety and Standards Board (RSSB) has strengthened its affiliate network with the addition of three UK organisations, expanding the expertise available to support safety, performance and innovation across Britain’s railway.

VINCI Facilities, Warringtonfire and MHB Consultants have all joined RSSB’s growing affiliate community, which now includes more than 60 organisations from across the rail industry, supply chain and international markets.

The latest additions bring specialist knowledge in facilities management, fire safety, engineering consultancy and infrastructure design, further broadening the collaborative network available to the sector.

Three new affiliates

VINCI Facilities joins the network with experience in delivering facilities management services across the UK’s transport sector, supporting the safe and compliant operation of infrastructure in complex, round-the-clock environments.

Warringtonfire brings more than 30 years of expertise in fire testing, inspection and certification for rolling stock and rail infrastructure, while engineering consultancy MHB Consultants specialises in structures, geotechnical engineering and infrastructure design across transport projects.

Supporting collaboration across the industry

RSSB says its affiliate programme gives organisations access to a wide range of technical expertise, research, standards, training and consultancy services to help address operational challenges and improve long-term performance.

Affiliates also collaborate on areas including operational efficiency, risk management, accident investigation, human factors and non-technical skills, supporting organisations in strengthening their health, safety and sustainability strategies.

The expansion of the network is intended to encourage greater collaboration across infrastructure owners, operators and the wider supply chain, helping share expertise and drive continuous improvement across the railway.

RSSB said the addition of the three organisations further strengthens the collective knowledge available to the industry and supports the development of a safer, more resilient rail network.
