Castles to Coast: 200 Miles, 22 Riders and One Goal to Raise £50,000 for Charity

Now in its annual tradition, AmcoGiffen’s cycle challenge is back, bigger and better. This year, they’ve headed north with a route that takes riders from castles to coast, covering 200 miles from Edinburgh to Newcastle. The event brings together 22 cyclists, including colleagues and riders from our valued supply chain partners, united in the goal of raising £50,000 for charity.

The three-day, 200-mile trek will see riders cycling on the road from Edinburgh to Newcastle, starting on Wednesday 10 September and finishing on Friday 12 September. The riders have been training hard in preparation to raise an impressive £50,000 to support two incredible causes, Maggie’s Cancer Care and The Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity. Now a much-anticipated event in the company calendar, the cycle ride brings together colleagues and partners in the spirit of teamwork, determination, and community support.

Ben McCluskey, co-organiser and AmcoGiffen’s Supply Chain and Procurement Director, said: “We’re proud of our riders’ commitment and grateful to our valued supply chain partners for their support. This challenge is about pushing ourselves, while raising vital funds for charities that make a real difference.

“This year’s fundraising target has been raised to £50,000 to provide even greater support to our chosen charities. Our riders are determined to go the extra mile to help these organisations with their life-changing work, but we need help to fuel our determination. Please donate what you can – every penny counts and will directly contribute to the charities.”
