M Group Services announces appointment of Archie Norman as non-executive Chairman

M Group Services is pleased to announce the appointment of Archie Norman as non-executive Chairman.

A highly experienced chairman and board director, Archie brings a wealth of commercial expertise to the group, with an impressive career in which he has been instrumental in transforming a number of major British businesses, including telecommunications business, Energis.

Formerly Chief Executive and Chairman of Asda, he became Chairman of Marks and Spencer in 2017. He’s also been Chairman of ITV and a management consultant with McKinsey. Within infrastructure, Archie was a director with Railtrack and chairman of the telecommunication business, Energis.

A former Shadow Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions, he was MP for Tunbridge Wells for eight years. He also co-founded the think tank Policy Exchange.

He was the lead non-executive board member at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) for four years, until 2020.
