PULSAR® Expands Workwear Range with New Mid-Layers

PULSAR®, a leading provider of high-visibility workwear, has announced the addition of two new mid-layers to its REACT range. The new Quarter Zip and Sweatshirt are designed to prepare workers for the colder months and will be available for the Autumn/Winter 2025 season.

The company says the new products are high-performance mid-layer options designed for comfort and visibility in demanding work environments.

Product Features

The Quarter Zip (RCT804-YEL / RCT805-ORG) features a smooth outer fabric with a soft brushed inner for comfort. It also includes a fleece chin guard, a reversed zip, and ribbed cuffs. The Sweatshirt (RCT806-YEL / RCT807-ORG) has a smooth outer with a brushed fleece interior and ribbed cuffs and collar to retain warmth. Both garments feature high-visibility segmented tape with front and back shoulder braces and a C0 Durable Water Repellent (DWR) finish for stain resistance.

Sustainability and Performance

Both new products are made from 100% recycled polyester, reducing their environmental impact while providing durability and warmth. They are certified to EN ISO 20471: 2013+A1:2016 Class 3, and the orange versions also conform to RIS-3279-TOM Issue 2:2019 for the rail industry. Both are certified for up to 25 wash cycles.

The company also highlighted the benefits of a layering system for active work roles. While loft insulation provides exceptional warmth in a single layer, it can be too warm for physically demanding tasks in milder conditions. Layering, by contrast, allows workers to regulate their body temperature more effectively.

The company said: “Layering remains one of the most versatile ways to regulate body temperature during outdoor and active work. It allows workers to add layers when tasks are more sedentary and remove layers when movement increases.”
