Rail Industry Connected | Optimising Maintenance with Technology & AI with Tim Flower, KONUX

We’ve mentioned on previous episodes of Rail Industry Connected about the challenges faced when introducing technological advancements into the industry. Technology is essential in enhancing and optimising work, but linking it with human input and using it to enhance and not replace is key to its success.

Today, we speak to Tim Flower, UK Account Director for KONUX – a company providing technological solutions to address railway challenges.

Tim is a Railway Maintenance professional specialising in technology adoption to enhance asset reliability and efficiency. At Network Rail, he led the development and rollout of automated track inspection, known as PLPR, and secured £190m for the CP6 Intelligent Infrastructure Programme. He joined KONUX in 2021, initially leading the UK market before expanding to Northern Europe and international business development in 2024.
