Greater Anglia has reported another year of strong punctuality, with new figures showing the operator remains among the best performing in the UK.
For the 12 months to 31 March 2026, the company achieved a Time to 3 (T-3) score of 91.84%. The measure tracks whether trains arrive within three minutes at every station they serve. The result places Greater Anglia second nationally, just behind c2c.
Performance remains consistently high across the network. Great Eastern services recorded 92.8%, rural routes across Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire averaged 93.0%, while West Anglia services achieved 91.1%. Intercity routes between Norwich and London recorded 88.9%, and Stansted Express services 89.8%.
Several routes delivered particularly strong results, including Norwich to Great Yarmouth at 98.0% and Norwich to Lowestoft at 97.5%. The Marks Tey to Sudbury line achieved 96.0%, with other routes also exceeding 93%.
Across other measures, Greater Anglia recorded the highest national “On Time” score at 80.4%, a Public Performance Measure (PPM) of 93.2%, and a cancellation rate of 1.7%, among the lowest in the country.
The operator said performance improvements reflect continued joint working with Network Rail, the introduction of a fully modernised fleet and ongoing infrastructure upgrades.
Jay Thompson, Train Service Delivery Director at Greater Anglia, said: “We are pleased to be maintaining consistently high levels of punctuality for our customers and stakeholders across East Anglia.
“Delivering these results is down to the dedication and commitment of colleagues across the organisation, from operations and maintenance to customer service and support teams.”
Greater Anglia has maintained PPM scores above 93% for the past six years, compared with historic averages between 87% and 91%. The operator also received multiple industry awards in 2025 recognising performance and reliability.
