Tim Cockayne appointed Chief Executive of Readypower Group

Readypower Group has appointed Tim Cockayne as its new Chief Executive, marking a leadership transition for the rail and infrastructure services provider.

Cockayne joins the business after 16 years with Chevron Group, where he held senior leadership roles across multiple infrastructure sectors including highways and utilities. During his time there, he led divisions spanning traffic management, safety fencing, arboriculture, environmental services and digital safety solutions, contributing to the company’s growth to £260 million in UK revenue.

In his new role, Cockayne will focus on building on Readypower’s existing capabilities while supporting continued growth.

He said: “Readypower has a strong reputation, a skilled workforce, a clear sense of what it stands for, and a solid foundation to build from. My focus is on the people and the work: making sure our teams have what they need to do the job well and safely whilst continuing to grow the business in the right way.”

Cockayne succeeds Russell Jack, who has led Readypower since 2017 after joining the company in 2011. Jack will remain with the group as Chairman of Readypower Canada.

Reflecting on the transition, Jack said: “Readypower has been a huge part of my life and career journey over the past 15 years. It was not an easy decision to make, but I know the time is right for my next chapter. I’m really pleased to be handing over to Tim, he’s an excellent fit for Readypower and is perfectly positioned to lead the Group into the exciting next phase of the business.”
