Bender UK, a provider of electrical safety solutions, has announced the appointment of Tim Checketts as its new Commercial Director. Mr. Checketts will spearhead sales and marketing operations, with a particular focus on driving growth within critical infrastructure markets, including rail, e-mobility, and healthcare.
His appointment is set to strengthen the company’s position as demand for smart, safer, and more sustainable energy solutions continues to rise across the UK and Ireland.

Mr. Checketts brings extensive sector expertise, having built a distinguished career in electrical distribution, building management systems, data centre development, and access control systems with Newey and Eyre. His track record spans the same critical infrastructure markets and customer base, providing him with a deep understanding of the needs of consultants and electrical engineers that Bender serves across healthcare and industrial sectors.
His appointment comes at a time when critical infrastructure sectors are facing exceptional pressure. Hospitals are in urgent need of lifecycle upgrades, data centre capacity is rapidly doubling nationwide, and defence spending continues to surge. Recent high-profile airport power failures have intensified the focus on energy resilience, while rail networks demand ever-greater reliability for passenger safety and economic continuity.
